- Historic Building Marker Program
The Brimfield Historical Commission has initiated a new program - the Historic Marker Program - to
recognize historic properties in our community. All properties that have been surveyed and listed on
the town's Inventory of Historic Properties are eligible.

- ACCESS THE PAST: A Resource and Activity Guide for Youth Leaders
The Commission has received a grant from the Quinebaug Shetucket Heritage Corridor.
The grant will allow us to develop activity materials to encourage youth involvement in
local history by engaging students in learning and utilizing observation, mapping, research
and interviewing skills.

- National Register of Historic Places Nomination
The Brimfield Center is being nominated for inclusion on the National Register
of Historic Places. Learn more about the Commission efforts, the properties involved and
the National Register process.

- Preservation Planning Summary
The Commission has
received a Preservation Planning Summary grant which will provide Massachusetts Historical
Commission assistance in developing a plan to preserve Brimfield's historic assets.

- Historical Commission newsletters
A periodic
newsletter is published detailing the efforts of the Commission, Brimfield history, and
historic preservation issues along with other items of interest. You can access the current
issue as well as previous issues here.
